Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) was founded in 1940 and is one of the most prestigious higher education institutions in Mexico. UDLAP has 9700 full time equivalent students enrolled at UDLAP and 317 full time equivalent faculty staff are employed. This chapter presents the results from 135 student responses. The main focus of the university is on the social dimension, which is the most addressed, followed by the environmental and economic ones. The ranking of the competences shows that Systems thinking, Interpersonal relations and collaboration, Critical thinking and analysis, and Anticipatory thinking were ranked the highest. The ranking of the pedagogical approaches resulted in Project- or problem-based learning, Lecturing, and Case studies being ranked the highest. The three competences most developed by pedagogical approaches were Strategic action, Personal involvement, and Assessment and evaluation. The three pedagogical approaches that developed the most competences were Eco-justice and community, Place-based environmental education, and Traditional ecological knowledge. In compromise with the relevance of the sustainability concepts to be applied in the different professional disciplines, the results of this study will be considered as a basis for the next revision of the bachelor’s degree programs at UDLAP. Furthermore, different workshops for the academics focused on pedagogical practices will help to improve and update the course with a more complete, holistic, and systemic sustainability education to help students become future leaders, decision makers, educators, and change agents.

摘要
