Artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in national strategy, serves as a key element in global competition, and is set to be a driving force for future economic growth. In this paper, we selected provincial panel data of China from 2012 to 2022 as a sample, and empirically investigated the impact of the level of AI in influencing the upgrading of the industrial chain from the quantitative and qualitative dimensions of AI. The results indicate that the level of AI significantly enhances industrial chain upgrading through the two channels of enhancing the standard of innovative productivity and international competitiveness. The impact of the promotion is more substantial in the western region than in the east-central region, providing suggestions for later policy support.

摘要
