Design of an Autonomous Mower and Embedded Microcontroller
摘要
This paper presents the design and implementation of an intelligent embedded microcontroller in an autonomous mowing robot. The autonomous robot is able to maintain a residential lawn or commercial turf efficiently and within a set boundary. The robot will be designed with features that include: obstacle avoidance, self-containment to the area of operation, the ability to return to its docking station using its boundary wire direction sensors, and safety features for residential use. An emergency kill switch is included for emergency shutdown. The boundary wire system is designed to be connected to a standard household 120 V outlet, resulting in easy integration into the residence. This paper will describe the design, implementation, and results of each of these objectives.
