Austere Runway Simulated Identification
摘要
The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) is researching airborne systems that can identify, characterize, and generate approach paths to runways in austere environments. Such systems enable landings in areas that are traditionally unserviceable. To begin work on a proof-of-concept, we sought out to tackle the problem of identifying where the aircraft should direct itself to find the runways via the use of April Tags and Computer Vision.
