A good number of studies in India suggest that shopping malls will spearhead the country’s organized retail boom. Furthermore, the Gen Z dominates the consumer section in modern India. The objective of this study is to assess the applicability of the shopping well-being model developed by (Hedhli et al. in J. Bus. Res. 66:856–863, 2013) to the Gen Z shoppers in India and also to determine the impact of shopping well-being on loyalty and word-of-mouth (WOM) among the customers in this sub-population. The study indicates that “functional” characteristics influence shopping well-being among Gen Z shoppers. The paper presents the findings and offers recommendations to the mall managers.
