The primary focus of the study is to evaluate the influx of funds into the Nickel commodity market. As the money flow increases, it subsequently drives up the prices of commodities. This upward trend in prices has attracted the numerous investors who seek to capitalize on these price surges. Consequently, the rise in open interest, accompanied by the increase in money flow, price levels, and the number of investments delved into examining the factors that contribute to the financialization of the Nickel commodity market. It has been revealed that the influence of time trend on open interest shows the inflow of money into the nickel commodity market. The influence of Special Drawing Rights, Wholesale Price Index and Speculative Ratio on the Total Traded Contracts and Volume of trade of Nickel Commodity depicts the existence of financialisation in the Nickel commodity market.
