Surgical intervention for Dupuytren’s disease can be considered when progressive contractures lead to limitations in hand function. Surgical options include limited fasciotomy; local, regional, or radical fasciectomy; McCash open palm technique; and dermatofasciectomy with skin grafting. The choice of technique is individualized to the patient, taking into consideration their disease severity, medical comorbidities, and functional expectations. Meticulous surgical technique is required to avoid post-operative complications such as hematoma, skin flap necrosis, flexor tendon injury, and digital nerve or artery transection. This chapter focuses on the technical aspects of surgical intervention for Dupuytren’s contractures.
