HELIOS2024: RoboCup Soccer Simulation 2D Competition Champion
摘要
This paper presents HELIOS2024, the champion team of the RoboCup 2024 Soccer Simulation 2D Competition, which unites researchers from Okayama University of Science and Osaka Metropolitan University. HELIOS2024 has achieved seven consecutive championships since 2022. Our recent advancements focus on refining team tactics by adapting both team strategy and player behaviors based on opponent tactics, utilizing tile coding for improved opponent identification. This enhancement aims to boost computational efficiency, streamlining processes with fewer resources. We also enhanced our performance evaluation system, capable of aggregating data from thousands of distributed simulations to generate reliable statistics, particularly in goals scored and conceded. This system facilitates team development by enabling robust performance analysis and visualization through interval estimates. Although currently focused on goals, ongoing work seeks to incorporate actions like passing and dribbling to provide a more comprehensive assessment of player and team performance. Future directions include collaborating with the machine learning and human soccer analysis communities to explore deeper insights into soccer simulation.
