The chapter addresses the labor discrimination faced by young individuals simultaneously pursuing undergraduate studies and working. Despite promoting equality and inclusion through the Sustainable Development Goals and the Montevideo Consensus, young people continue to encounter barriers to full inclusion in the labor market. From this analysis, the chapter highlights structural barriers such as the absence of written and permanent contracts, low wages, lack of social protection, and absence of benefits, among others. The chapter concludes that the labor market itself perpetuates restrictive and exclusionary practices, leading to discrimination against this demographic.
