This chapter provides an overview of the institutional efforts made by the Mexican government to recognize and combat discrimination practices. Among these efforts, are notable the diagnosis exercises made to identify situations of denial of rights and experiences of discrimination faced by vulnerable groups in Mexico. By using this data for 2017 and 2022, the second part of the chapter presents an analysis of the perception of respect for their rights, prejudices and stereotypes, denial of rights, the situations of discrimination experienced and the areas where these practices have occurred for international migrants, indigenous women, youth, and the elderly.
