Gastrointestinal diseases or disorders in pediatrics populations are associated with lower quality of life. Disorders of the gut-brain interaction are common within pediatric gastroenterology practice and best understood from a biopsychosocial perspective. Brain gut behavior therapies have a growing evidence base for the management of these diagnoses. There is a growing interest interdisciplinary care that incorporates psychological treatment into pediatric gastroenterology practice. This chapter reviews brain gut behavior therapies, evidence of psychological care for select pediatric gastrointestinal diagnoses, literature on the integration of psychological services within pediatric gastroenterology clinics, and approaches to integration.
