School-based health clinicians are likely to encounter many children with Global Developmental Delays. This chapter addresses the circumstances in which a school health clinician should become suspicious of a global developmental delay diagnosis and describes the initial evaluation and management of children presenting with global developmental delays. Common medical and behavioral comorbidities are also reviewed with a focus on practical steps school-based health clinicians can take to support both the child and the family.
