Despite their high prevalence, eating disorders (EDs) in adolescents often go undiagnosed until medical complications develop, particularly in individuals with “normal” or higher body mass indices (BMIs) and those from historically minoritized communities. This chapter will discuss three cases of varying severity, review the history and physical examination findings that may raise suspicion for an ED, and describe interventions necessary to initiate care in the school setting.
