Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common disorders of childhood. School-based health clinicians are especially primed to identify children at risk for such a diagnosis given that symptoms may be more likely to present in the school environment. Children with ADHD often experience comorbid conditions that can make establishing the diagnosis more challenging and can complicate ongoing management.
