摘要
Seizures and seizure mimics are common in children. There are different types of seizures such as full body convulsive which are easy to identify, but absence/staring or brief body jerking or stiffening seizures can be easily missed. Seizure mimics, such as syncope, migraine, tics, panic attacks, and psychogenic non-epileptic events, have different etiologies and are not seizures. This chapter will discuss how to approach a student with seizures in school and the management of seizures and seizure mimics.
