Cerebral palsy (CP) describes a group of disorders of movement and posture causing activity limitations as the result of non-progressive disturbances to the brain during infancy or early childhood (Rosenbaum et al., Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology 49, 2007). It is the most common motor disorder and cause of physical disability in childhood. Cerebral palsy impacts a child’s motor function, but presentation and daily impact vary from child to child. This chapter will present 3 cases of children with CP to illustrate the spectrum of presentation and specific needs/complications that may arise in the school setting.
