Traumatic injury to the skin can occur in many forms and at varying degrees of severity. Many of these injuries are minor and easily treated, while others require urgent or emergent evaluation. This chapter will discuss common skin injuries that might afflict children at school, what can be done in the school setting, and when they should be referred to an acute care facility.
