Running Injuries
摘要
Running-related injuries (RRIs) have increased with increased running participation amongst adolescent runners over the past few decades. A detailed history focused on common training errors accompanied by a focused physical examination and supplemental imaging can lead to the correct diagnosis in the majority of runners. Specialty referral may be indicated in runners with an unclear diagnosis and/or incomplete response to treatment. Education regarding the selection and replacement of running shoes can help prevent injury. Catastrophic collisions between runners and motor vehicles can be avoided with education and emergency action planning.
