While most children with abdominal trauma suffer no serious injuries, a small group experiences significant intra-abdominal injury. Thorough history and physical examinations are crucial to minimize morbidity and mortality in this patient population. This chapter will present two cases of children following blunt abdominal trauma and discuss the initial assessment and management utilizing an evidence-based approach.
