Semiotics and Rhetoric in the Understanding of the Constitution
摘要
The aim of this work is to show the Constitution’s capacity to establish the foundations upon which our communities are built, not only in normative and institutional aspects but primarily in emotional and axiological dimensions. In this sense, the Constitution will be reviewed as a regulatory and institutional text as well as a rhetoric text, capable of moving emotions and creating the essential ties needed to build and sustain the political community. In this sense, the Constitution should be recognised as the limit of legislative policy, government actions, and political discourse as well. This is because the normative power of the Constitution ultimately depends on the actual actions of political subjects.
