Public Order Incidents
摘要
The focus of this chapter is Public Order Incident Command. Within it, we provide a brief explanation of how these Command teams are structured and how they operate in order to deal with public order events in ways aimed at defusing or containing potentially volatile crowd situations. We then explore the nature of their work, and the types of often tough decisions they must make in response to changing dynamics on the ground. We finish by introducing the role of the Public Order Incident Commander, explaining who this person is and what their training and responsibilities entail.
