Major Incidents
摘要
This chapter examines the role of the incident team in responding to major events, including terrorist threats, natural disasters, and other critical incidents. It outlines the specific roles, tasks, and training required for team members and situates these teams within the police hierarchy, explaining how the chain of command functions during such events. The chapter then focuses on the Major Incident Commander, the individual responsible for managing the resolution of these incidents. We explore the selection process, training, and education of these ICs before delving into how they perform their duties, drawing on their personal insights and experiences to provide a detailed understanding of their role in incident management.
