PID Control Approaches
摘要
This book analyzes the performance of a PID-based Active Front Steering (AFS) system compared to no AFS control during the ISO 3888-2 (Double Lane Change) maneuver. Improving lateral acceleration, decreasing sideslip angle, and stabilizing yaw rate are the goals. Python is used to run simulations of the vehicle’s lateral dynamics using a simple bicycle model. When referring to the ISO 3888-2 maneuver and the given formulae, the steering input usually means the tire steering angle (or road wheel angle), not the steering wheel angle. This distinction is significant, though, because the vehicle’s steering system’s steering ratio ( \(R_s\) ) links the two.
