The relevance of the initiated research is determined by the fact that artificial intelligence has the potential to become a key tool in the transformation of education, because it can adapt to the individual needs of each student. The purpose of the study is to determine the methodological principles of using artificial intelligence for the individualization of learning in higher education institutions, to identify specific challenges and unsolved aspects of this process, as well as to substantiate practical recommendations for the development and implementation of AI in higher education. The article analyzes the theoretical fundamentals of artificial intelligence application in the field of higher education, identifies key problems and obstacles that arise during the implementation of individualized training using artificial intelligence, proposes a strategy for improving the use of technologies, based on the application of artificial intelligence to enhance the effectiveness of education; proposals, regarding further development and improvement of the system of individualized education using artificial intelligence are substantiated. The use of artificial intelligence has significant potential for creating individualized educational programs that meet the individual needs of the students of higher education establishments. The results of the study confirm the need for continuous improvement of the infrastructure and pedagogical approaches to ensure the effective use of artificial intelligence in the educational process. The general consolidation of efforts of all stakeholders will contribute to the maximum use of the benefits of personalized learning with the help of AI.
