Work-in-Progress: An Approach for Incorporating the Sustainable Development Goals in Architectural Engineering Education
摘要
This study addresses the inadequate integration of Sustainable Development Goals in architectural engineering education. Current programs often prioritize technical skills, neglecting the broader societal and environmental implications of architectural and engineering practices. To bridge this gap, this research proposes a framework that leverages design studio activities, incorporating an integrated design process and an analytical mapping tool. This framework was implemented in two undergraduate design projects, guiding students to identify relevant SDGs, assess integration levels, and incorporate appropriate design features. The findings underscore the value of interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world application for enriching curricula and aligning with the global SDGs outlined in Agenda 2030.
