Analysis of Geographic Coordinates Initialization Methods for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Localization
摘要
How a metaheuristic population is initialized significantly impacts its final performance. In this chapter, an analysis of three population initialization methods within an evolution strategy is conducted. This metaheuristic is employed to localize unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in a disaster-stricken area to establish a temporary communication network. The UAVs must be positioned to maximize the probability of successful voice services (PSVS). According to the findings, our proposed strategy of localizing UAVs within a high-density area yields solutions with a PSVS above 0.77, which translates to a 77% probability of a successful network connection, ensuring reliable communication in emergency scenarios.
