The digital transformation of transport infrastructure is an important means of increasing the competitiveness of the regional economy and achieving sustainable development. Using the example of the Russian Far East of Russia and Northeast China, this article examines the application of digital technologies in traffic management and infrastructure construction and their impact. Using the methods of literary analysis and comparative analysis, the study summarizes the successful practices of the two regions in the field of intelligent transport systems, construction of digital ports and optimization of cross-border transportation, and also identifies the main problems of the Far East at the technological level, capital investments and coordinated regional development. The results show that due to the effective use of digital technologies, Northeast China has significantly improved the efficiency of transport system management and service quality, providing valuable experience for the Far East. The article presents proposals for the digital development of transport based on Chinese-Russian regional cooperation aimed at promoting the modernization of the infrastructure of the Far East and facilitating the processes of regional economic integration of the two countries. The study provides a theoretical framework and practical guidance for policy makers and practitioners.
