Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Bipolar Disorder
摘要
Evidence suggests that cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is effective as an adjunct treatment to pharmacological intervention for bipolar disorder (BD). Notably, CBT has been associated with sustaining remission of depressive symptoms in individuals with BD. Given the frequent neuroprogression in BD, psychotherapy models need adaptation based on both the patient’s age group and the stage of the disorder. This chapter will present CBT applications tailored to the life cycle stages, considering neuroprogression and social aspects for each patient.
