Emerging Applications in Point-of-Care Ultrasound
摘要
Emerging technologies are applications that are not yet widespread in use, or underdeveloped but hold potential. These technologies are key to both understanding incipient trends, and imagining possibilities with point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in patient care. Furthermore these applications demonstrate how science, engineering, and industry, working in close partnership with clinicians, can transform ideas into reality. In this chapter, we discuss the use of three emerging applications: artificial intelligence in POCUS, contrast-enhanced ultrasound, and remote, tele-mentored, self-performed ultrasound.
