Microneedling with or Without Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
摘要
This chapter discusses the impact of physical appearance on individuals’ lives and the rising trend of cosmetic scar management procedures, with a focus on microneedling therapy. Microneedling is a minimally invasive method used for various skin conditions, such as acne scarring, skin rejuvenation, and hair growth. The controlled skin injury induced by microneedling stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, leading to skin tightening, scar reduction, and improved skin texture. This chapter also covers the use of microneedling in combination with other therapies, such as platelet-rich plasma, and the different tools and techniques involved in microneedling. Additionally, it discusses the history and evolution of microneedling as a treatment option in dermatology.
