This section aims to introduce the research chapters-essays in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, exploring modeling and devices in the applied sciences and technologies, including their historical perspectives and at the boundaries of health–life–DNA sciences, structures, nanomechanics, quantum computing, environmental, organic–inorganic–hybrid energy, manufacturing, and food-product/industry, closing the gap in society toward a sustainable civilization. In this chapter the reader finds descriptions of the essays in this book (according to its three parts and in alphabetical order) in the respective fields. The essays provide insights on current research in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnologies with an interdisciplinary approach, including interconnections between scientific, historical, and societal aspects, brought together for the first time in a single volume.
