A Gain-Enhanced Inverter-Based OTA Employing Active Body-Bias Feedback
摘要
This chapter presents a single-stage inverter-based operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) incorporating a gain boosting technique by means of the transistor body bias. The approach enables to significantly enhance the OTA’s small signal output impedance, facilitating the use of short-channel devices to improve its bandwidth. Designed with 32 nm channel length and operating within a 1 V supply domain, the OTA exhibits an increase in measured open-loop gain from 24 to 42 dB, along with a unity gain frequency of 28 GHz.
