Equipping Young People to Build Long Lives They Love
摘要
Young people are growing up and entering adulthood during volatile and uncertain times; they are also projected to live longer than previous generations. Modern medicine and advanced technology have extended lifespans and ushered in an age of longevity, but living longer does not mean today’s young people will live better. To prepare young people for the future of learning, work, and life, youth development practitioners must prioritize programs and practices that promote lifelong and long-life thriving. This chapter explores the forces shaping and changing the future and describes the major factors that will prohibit or promote young people’s ability to build long lives they love.
