This chapter introduces Matching Theory approaches to reciprocal recommendation. We start by introducing the Stable Marriage Problem, and an optimal solution in the form of the Gale-Shapley Algorithm. A modification of this algorithm for reciprocal recommendation is then introduced. Finally, we look at Matching Markets, which represent a generalisation of the Stable Marriage Problem, and the application of potential solutions to reciprocal recommendation.

摘要

This chapter introduces Matching Theory approaches to reciprocal recommendation. We start by introducing the Stable Marriage Problem, and an optimal solution in the form of the Gale-Shapley Algorithm. A modification of this algorithm for reciprocal recommendation is then introduced. Finally, we look at Matching Markets, which represent a generalisation of the Stable Marriage Problem, and the application of potential solutions to reciprocal recommendation.
