Memories of the Griffin Laboratory
摘要
In New York State, work at the Griffin Laboratory involves rabies virus diagnostic testing and the conduct of applied rabies research. One of the most significant research projects performed at the Griffin Laboratory included the collaborative development of an oral rabies virus vaccine for wildlife. This chapter highlights the significant history of the laboratory, its critical role in rabies testing to date, and describes some of the key investigations that took place, including a tragic laboratory-associated infection of a staff member.
