On the second day around noon, as the cloudsCloud had shifted just enough to provide fleeting glimpses of the worldWorld beyond them—enough to show that only the top of RitničohkkaRitničohkka was submerged—we ventured out to continue the survey. We first navigated in the cloudCloud for some timeTime, which made the fjellFjell look and feel very peculiar. Unable to see the horizon in any direction, only the grey rocksRock and ground in our immediate vicinity offered points of reference, which disappeared as we walked further in the grey cloudCloud. Occasional rockRock formations loomed in the mist. The scene was reminiscent, yet again, of a horrorHorror or sci-fi filmFilm, as we were experientially definitely “someplace else” outside the familiar everyday environmentEnvironment.
