Maritime Silk Road: Cultural and Civilizational Opportunities
摘要
Regarding the importance of communications in the present era, this chapter seeks to study ways to increase cooperation and convergence among countries that surround the Persian Gulf. It aims at examining the impacts of the Maritime Silk Road’s revival on cultural-civilizational affinity and cooperation between the countries around the Persian Gulf. Findings of this research, which are based on the theories of regional convergence and constructivism, show that the Maritime Silk Road revival will initially lead to an increase and consolidation in economic, communicational, and tourism fields between the countries of the region and then leads to a mutual change of perception among the people and governments of the region. Ultimately, it advances the level of political and cultural cooperations between these countries.
