This conclusion recapitulates the general results of this book and its specific answers to the question of how people living in asylum in Germany translate home cultures to these institutions. Moreover, it pins down the findings to related areas of research and debates around home studies, material culture research and (forced) migration anthropology. In addition, it frames unanswered questions and identifies agendas and research gaps for further ethnographic inquiries.
