The literature on seeking eco-friendly measures to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals has recently highlighted the need for more studies on how the entrepreneurial ecosystem (EE) supports green startups’ growth. According to the World Bank, take-away food and drink waste contribute to 44% of plastic waste at surveyed locations in Vietnam. Such environmental issues have urged the Vietnamese government to launch the Vietnam Green Growth Strategy 2021–2030, Vision 2050. The entrepreneurial community in this emerging country has also demonstrated their commitment and support towards eco-friendly initiatives. Green startups, often referred to as young and innovative businesses producing goods or services that benefit the environment and contribute to sustainable development have emerged since then. This book chapter highlights the case of Green Joy, a Vietnamese green startup that offers grass straws as an eco-friendly solution. The company has been awarded numerous prizes, such as EPPIC, VietChallenge, International Innovator Award 2021, Clean Cities, and Blue Ocean-USAID. How the entrepreneurial community, not only as customers but also as mentors, accelerators, and investors, hand-in-hands with Green Joy will be discussed.
