This research investigates the critical role of trust in the adoption of eWallet technologies. By exploring trust dynamics through perceived reputation, perceived opportunism, perceived environmental risk, and perceived structural assurance, this study aims to enrich the understanding of consumer engagement with eWallet technologies and highlight strategies for fostering trust. Utilizing a questionnaire survey, data were collected from potential adopters in Palestine, Jordan, and Egypt, employing the Smart-PLS 4.0 software and PLS-SEM method for analysis. The results confirm the significance of perceived reputation and perceived structural assurance in building trust toward eWallets, while perceived opportunism and perceived environmental risk did not show a significant direct impact on trust. The study underscores the importance of a multifaceted approach to trust, suggesting that eWallet adoption can be significantly influenced by addressing specific trust-related factors. This study contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of trust in eWallet adoption by integrating various trust dimensions into the discourse on financial technology adoption. Offering a comprehensive framework for examining trust dynamics, it provides valuable insights for enhancing the adoption and widespread use of eWallet solutions.
