The present study explores the challenges associated with dubbing commercials into Arabic, emphasizing the importance of maintaining rhyme and rhythmic patterns to ensure effective communication of intended messages. Five advertisements, including those from Colgate Optic White, Lindt Excellence, Rimmel Lasting Provocalips lipstick, Bosch, Nescafe Gold Roastery, and Pampers Pants are qualitatively analyzed. The results show that the Arabic dubbed commercials successfully preserve phonological cues like rhyme and repetition of words due to the rich nature of the Arabic language, other times by the translator in an attempt to mirror the source text. The study emphasizes that effective cross-cultural communication requires careful application of translation strategies and cultural considerations. It emphasizes that successful cross-cultural communication strategies require carefully balancing cultural adaptation and literal translation. The study recommends extending the comparative analysis to include other advertising domains and cultural contexts.
