THD Value and Power Factor Effects on Turbo Blower Efficiency
摘要
This article focuses on the effect of the relationship between Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and Power Factor (PF), which expresses the Cosφ value, on the performance of HAUS magnetic bearing turbo blowers. LC filter, EMC Filter and Sinus Filter were used to reduce the THD value in the machine. Fluke 1773 model power analyzer was used to measure THD and Cosφ values. When the performance analyzes in different operating speed ranges were compared, it was seen that the power factor was lower at low speed operating points. At the same time, as a result of this comparison, it was observed that there was a significant decrease in the THD level as the design RPM value was approached. It is seen that the selection made according to the design RPM value, which is the optimum point in the machine model selection, and the use of components suitable for this selection significantly increase the overall machine performance.
