A comprehensive literature review was performed to examine the most recent trends and methodologies in web design and user experience. The review methodology employed was derived from Fink’s framework which has three primary steps: sampling, categorization, and data extraction. The review seeks (a) to identify primarily themes in web design and user experience in Arabic and foreign studies; (b) to discover differences and similarities in topics across Arabic and foreign studies; (c) to compare methodologies and tools employed in Arabic versus foreign web design studies; and (d) to contrast theories applied in Arabic versus foreign web design studies. A combined total of 130 studies written between 2019 and 2024 were picked from diverse sources, ensuring comprehensive representation of the field. The findings indicate multiple differences between Arab and international research within the current study sample. These differences relate to the main topics selected in foreign and Arab studies, the methodology and tools applied, as well as the approaches, theories, models ideas, models, and approaches adopted.
