摘要
Video games are regarded as one of the most rapidly evolving technologies that consumers enjoy due to their ability to produce an enthusiastic and joyful experience in the user's mind. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of video games in achieving the goals of media plans for private sector institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain by exploring how these games can affect audiences and examining their effectiveness by focusing on the role of gameplay, design elements and game concept in enhancing their interactions and perceptions of the institution. This study used a quantitative methodology to gather, evaluate, and analyze data. Four hundred twenty-two people from the audience of the institutions that used video games in their media plans made up the questionnaire sample, which was used to determine the effect of using video games in the media plans of private sector institutions on the public. The study concluded that the public desires this technology and that developing these games for mobile phones is the most appropriate way to do so. Furthermore, games’ prizes help encourage the public to use them and thus achieve their goals. These games are an excellent way for institutions to consolidate their brand image among consumers and reach new audiences uniquely. However, this technology is useless in accomplishing the institutions’ financial goals.
