Study on Droplet Combustion Characteristic from Mixed Palm Oil and Clove Oil
摘要
This study investigates the combustion characteristics of palm oil mixed with clove oil. A blend of palm oil and clove oil (PO-CO5), consisting of 5% clove oil by volume, was prepared using the splash blending method. The combustion behavior of suspended droplets was analyzed, focusing on flame evolution and temperature rise. Results indicate that the peak temperature for pure palm oil (PO) was reached at 6.52 s, while the palm oil-clove oil blend (PO-CO5) reached its peak temperature at 6.2 s. The presence of clove oil in the blend shortened the combustion process compared to pure palm oil, primarily due to the higher volatility of clove oil components. These findings highlight the potential of clove oil as an effective additive to enhance the combustion performance of palm oil-based fuels.
