Development of a Mamdani-Type Fuzzy Inference System for Assessing Diabetes Risk Based on Clinical and Lifestyle Factors
摘要
In this study, a Mamdani-type Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) is described which incorporates clinical and lifestyle factors to ascertain an individual’s diabetes risk. The model consists of eight key health factors acknowledged by the World Health Organization: the family history of diabetes, BMI, physical activity, diet, blood circulation and blood pressure, cholesterol level, age, and smoking. It involves a number of fuzzy rules which cover all possible situations across three risk areas, namely, low, medium and high. This project is one of the commercial projects conducted together with diabetes specialists and aims on Sustainable Development Goal 3: good health and well-being. The code is written in MATLAB programming and later exported to HTML and Java.
