Design and Fabrication a New Omani Halwa Machine
摘要
Omani halwa is a renowned delicacy in Oman, often served at weddings, feasts, hospitality events, and funerals. Numerous independent Omani Halwa shops exist, each with its unique recipe and method of preparation. Local brands such as Al-Sifi and Al-Amiri Halwa are well-known, with Al-khayari Halwa being one of the most famous varieties. Preparing Omani halwa can take anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the quantity. This paper aims to develop a machine with an automated system to produce Omani halwa more efficiently, reducing the preparation time. The machine’s design will incorporate a four-bar mechanism to stir the mixture throughout all stages of preparation and will feature a fully automated system, including automotive timing technology. Various equipment and devices will be utilized to create the machine, including a bowl, blender, external pipes for ingredients, a concealed motor, and several types of sensors. The machine will be enclosed on all sides, which will be covered during operation. This work incorporated various sensors, such as a temperature sensor to regulate the machine’s heat and a timer sensor to control the addition of ingredients one by one. The materials used to construct the machine include aluminum, glass, metal, plastic, a heat coil, and stainless steel. All these materials will contribute to the design of the Halwa machine.
