In addition to steel, concrete and grout there are other structural materials which are used in a limited capacity in offshore structures. These include aluminium, composites, coatings, adhesives and epoxy resins. In addition, titanium is to a very limited extent used for structural purposes, primarily as a cladding of steel for corrosion resistance and for some risers. This chapter is a brief review of the properties and uses of these other metallic and non-metallic materials.
