Infection prevention and control (IPC) is critical in modern healthcare, especially in the face of increasing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and emerging infectious diseases. This chapter highlights the evolving role of nurses, who are essential in implementing IPC measures, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, and leading antimicrobial stewardship efforts.
