Preambles: Toward the Future
摘要
Infection prevention and control (IPC) is critical in modern healthcare, especially in the face of increasing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and emerging infectious diseases. This chapter highlights the evolving role of nurses, who are essential in implementing IPC measures, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, and leading antimicrobial stewardship efforts. This emphasizes the necessity for nursing education to adapt, incorporating simulation-based training and interprofessional collaboration to prepare nurses for complex clinical challenges. Furthermore, these findings underscore the importance of sustainable practices in infection control and the urgent need to address the global shortage of skilled healthcare professionals. As frontline caregivers, nurses must advocate for innovative solutions that enhance patient safety and public health.
