Transforming Healthcare: The Role of Health Informatics and Provider Perspectives
摘要
This chapter explores the diverse perspectives of healthcare providers on health informatics, highlighting both the potential benefits and the persistent challenges associated with its implementation. While health informatics offers significant advantages such as enhanced patient care, improved communication, and streamlined workflows, issues related to data security and health provider acceptance remain as critical barriers. Through a comprehensive review of the literature, the chapter identifies three key areas that must be addressed to facilitate effective adoption: training, infrastructure, and institutional policies. By emphasizing the importance of tailored training programs to boost user confidence, robust technological infrastructure to ensure data safety and integration, and clear institutional guidelines to promote accountability, this chapter advocates for a holistic approach to health informatics. Ultimately, addressing these challenges can facilitate the creation of an environment conducive to the successful integration of health informatics into clinical practice, supporting improved healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
